News in brief

Where to see us

Welcome to the fourth quarter issue of Wood News

Allister Langlands

Wood Group is ending 2011 as a much different organisation to what it was at the start of the year. Wood News has covered those changes.

This issue features just one article, an interview in which I talk about the refocused organisation, the repositioning of our Engineering division, Wood Group PSN’s progress, recent developments at Wood Group GTS and new opportunities across the Group.  If you’re reading the hardcopy version of this edition, you will also see reprints of the 2011 feature articles about each of our divisions.  Our digital readers can access those articles by going to the Wood News archive.

Wood News is changing, too. Beginning in 2012, we will publish six issues, each focused on a specific issue or geographic area, and distributed electronically to help reduce our carbon footprint. Articles will be shorter, so you can read them quickly and easily. If you want more information about the topics presented, please contact us. The addition of a mobile version will make Wood News easier to read on smartphones. The Where to see us, News in brief and We’ve been published sections will be updated more frequently and an RSS feed added so you can be notified as new content is added.

If you read the hardcopy edition I encourage you to subscribe to the e-newsletter, which is produced in multiple languages. (An English-language version will be available from the Wood News site for downloading and printing.)

If you already receive the digital version, please consider updating your subscriber data with your interests and role.  This information will be used to guide our editorial content and ensure Wood News covers topics you want to read about.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks, and that of my Executive Team, for your support throughout 2011.  Wherever you are and whatever you have planned, we wish you a safe and happy New Year and look forward to working with you in 2012.
