Wood Group acquires Baker Energy

The acquisition of Baker Energy establishes Wood Group as the market leader in the provision of operations & maintenance services in the US Gulf of Mexico market, and enhances our ability to support clients' deepwater activity around the world. Baker Energy now operates within Wood Group's Engineering & Production Facilities division.

Services & engineering for Statoil Hydro, offshore Brasil

Wood Group Engineering & Production Facilities Brasil is providing operations, maintenance & modification services for the two Peregrino wellhead platforms. The five-year, US$60 million contract includes both offshore services and onshore support.

Wood Group Chair of Arctic Engineering appointed

Dr.Shawn Kenny, P.Eng., was selected for the Wood Group Chair of Arctic and Cold Region Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, Newfoundland.Wood Group is investing C$500,000 over a five-year period to sponsor the chair, with a goal of developing cutting-edge technology for use in Arctic and cold regions for the oil & gas industry.
