Michel Contie joins Wood Group board of directors
Michel Contie was appointed to the board as a non-executive director in February. Michel has an extensive and varied E&P background, having spent 35 years in various senior executive positions with Total where he was latterly senior vice president Northern Europe and a member of the TOTAL E&P Management Committee.

Wood Group in Australia
Wood Group’s capabilities in Australia have expanded significantly through organic growth and with recent acquisition; more than 1500 people are now employed in-country. The new Perth office, Wood Group House, is a key operational hub. A new Brisbane-based joint venture, Wood Group Wagners, was launched in March to provide coal seam methane solutions for Queensland’s gas producers.

Wood Group GTS supports PERU LNG
Wood Group GTS was awarded a US$150 million, 18-year service and maintenance agreement by PERU LNG to maximize machine availability of gas turbines, compressors and generators for PERU LNG’s Pampa Melchorita site south of Lima.

Meta Petroleum chooses Wood Group pumps
Wood Group ESP is providing approximately 200 electric submersible pumps, 30 variable speed drives and downhole sensors, maintenance and services for the Rubiales Field in Colombia. The high-efficiency equipment will reduce potential energy consumption by up to 20 per cent per pump.
