Engineering services for Williams pipeline expansion
Alliance Engineering is providing engineering services for eight of Williams Companies’ pipeline compressor station projects, including station expansions in South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi.

Engineering for Malaysia’s first deepwater semi-sub
J P Kenny has been awarded a contract by Sabah Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. for subsea integration and follow-on engineering work for the Gumusut-Kakap Deepwater Development, Malaysia’s first deepwater semi submersible. The vessel will be located 75 miles offshore Sabah, Malaysia and will have a production capacity of 150,000 B/D.

Wood Group sponsors engineering chair in Newfoundland
Wood Group is sponsoring a professorial chair in arctic engineering at the Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) in St John’s, Canada.

An Honorable Mention
In January, Sir Ian Wood, chairman of Wood Group, was inducted into the Offshore Energy Center’s Hall of Fame for his meaningful and notable accomplishments in the offshore oil and gas industry. Permanent recognition of his role will be displayed on a plaque aboard the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum in Galveston, Texas.

Methanol plants to get tune-up
Neal & Massy Wood Group has been awarded a five-year, performance-based contract by Methanex Trinidad to provide maintenance services for its Titan and Atlas methanol production facilities in Trinidad.

Wood Group to service turbines in the Netherlands
Gas Turbine Services has been awarded a term maintenance contract by Delta Energy for service and maintenance of three Solar® Taurus® 60 gas turbine generators and accessories at the Kruiningen Power Station in the province of Zeeland of the Netherlands.
